Lavender stems against a pale grey sky

Fragrance houses: keep the notes your still loses to heat.

Hydrocarbon essence extraction at 5,000 kg of monthly input, or steam and vacuum at 10,000 kg. In G‑Force's estimate, fewer than one fragrance company in a thousand runs hydrocarbon essence in-house.

Why a still loses the most delicate notes.

Steam distillation carries volatile oil off in hot vapor, and heat changes or loses the most delicate notes. Hydrocarbon essence extraction washes the botanical in solvent, recovers the solvent inside the system, and leaves a concentrated essence closer to an absolute than to a distilled oil.

Can you prove single origin if your oil came off a shared still?

  1. Shared stills.

Oil distilled from your botanical to someone else's method, often on a still shared with other clients.

  2. What you lose.

Single-origin control, small trial lots and the note profile that is your product.

  3. Your run log.

Your material, your run log. Steam and vacuum for volume. Hydrocarbon essence for the notes heat would take.

Questions buyers ask first.

Which configuration should I choose?
Steam and vacuum for higher volume and conventional essential oil. Hydrocarbon essence for a concentrated essence from delicate material. Tell us the botanical and the target and we'll size it.
What solvent does the hydrocarbon option use?
A hydrocarbon solvent, recovered inside the system. We'll give you the solvent and recovery details with your sizing.
Will it run as fast as the spec sheet says in my room?
That's why we size the line from your feedstock and volume, and can design the room with it. A rating only holds in a room built to feed it.
Who do I call when something breaks?
G-Force. You get support directly from the people who built your line.
Is owning cheaper than tolling for me?
It depends on your volume and what your processor charges. Your sizing plan puts our quote next to what you pay to toll today. If tolling is still cheaper, we'll tell you.

Tell us what you process, how much each month and what your processor charges you now. We'll send back the system that fits and the quote, next to what you pay to toll today. If tolling is still cheaper at your volume, we'll say so.
